The
Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Inc. relies on member volunteers through
its activities to reach the goal of supporting The Charlotte Symphony.
Dear Symphony Guild Members:
We
are looking forward to activities coming back this fall as the
pandemic lifts. One of our goals is to focus on a higher level of
volunteerism among our membership. We hope for more involvement and
participation as programs get scheduled again.
It has come
to our attention that the volunteer program with the Charlotte Symphony
Orchestra (CSO) has incurred some changes. In order to be eligible now
to volunteer, the CSO requires all volunteers participating in activities that involve children under the age of 18 to be subjected to a background check and attend two training sessions (virtual or live) provided by the CSO. There will be NO COST to volunteers.
We plan to have volunteers prepared with a ready-alert Volunteer Group
that meets the requirements for eligibility. Our goal is to enlist a
group large enough to support events on a monthly basis with each
volunteer participating in a few activities per year.
The
Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Inc. has also agreed to enact the same
requirements for volunteers participating at Musical Petting Zoo, Young
Artists Competition and a variety of other activities that involve
children under the age of 18.
It is important that we have this Volunteer Group formed by late August, 2021. We will continue to supplement the group with more volunteers on an ongoing basis.
We
encourage you to be part of the Volunteer Group by registering as a
volunteer and completing the above requirements. You can start the
qualification process by clicking on the button below which outlines the
steps to be taken. Please join our volunteers and let us know if you
have any questions. We'll be happy to assist.
Developing
this Volunteer Group will contribute to The Guild in fulfilling its
mission to support the Charlotte Symphony and music education.
THANK YOU!!!
